Ane is a self taught artist who has developed her own unique methods in an attempt to manipulate the medium in new and exciting ways. Bringing together a variety of mixed media including pastel, oil pastels and paper she works towards an integrated harmony between abstract and figurative forms. This combination of forms allows for a fluid and open interpretation by the viewer, the curious depths drawing you into her compelling images.
Through her strong and discernable use of the female form as a provocative and sensual image, Ane seeks no less than the liberation of ‘woman’. She explores and empowers the sexual distinctions and spiritual profoundness that are at the core of being a woman.
Ane expresses vulnerability as strength, and sexuality with honest sincerity. With a integrity and youthful enthusiasm, Ane pours her vivacious and dynamic personality together with her own experience into every creation.
